The Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) exhausts stale indoor air, and provides fresh outdoor air while maximizing heat recovery during operation. HRV’s are used in very tight homes to reduce the moisture in the home. HRVs come in various sizes based on the size of your home, and its overall tightness.
The Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) works the same as a HRV with one difference. The ERV captures moisture therefore reducing the work your humidifier has to do in the winter, and in the summer it reduces the load on your air conditioner.
